I study Yang style. Charles Fayette McGlashan lays out the general travel of the Donner party most clearly and provides the best overview.
McGlashan at times writes in a very melodramatic fashion, sometimes peppered with exclamation marks to drive home the plight of the travelers. For anyone that wants to enhance their learning and appreciation of the natural world, this book is a must have.. I liked the loose-leaf format more than I originally thought I would and will probably use loose-leaf books in the future.. It's really that simple.
