Cyrus II of Persia (Old Persian: KUURUUSHA4 Kruš; New Persian: Kurosh  ; c. 600 or 576 – 530 BC),5 commonly known as Cyrus the Great 6 (Persian: ‎‎, Kourosh-e-Bozorg) and also called Cyrus the Elder by the Greeks, was the founder of the Achaemenid Empire.7 Under his rule, the empire embraced all the previous civilized states of the ancient Near East,7 expanded vastly and eventually conquered most of Southwest Asia and much of Central Asia and the Caucasus. From the Mediterranean Sea and Hellespont in the west to the Indus River in the east, Cyrus the Great created the largest empire the world had yet seen.8 Under his successors, the empire eventually stretched from parts of the Balkans (Bulgaria-Paeonia) and Thrace-Macedonia in the west, to the Indus Valley in the east. His regal titles in full were The Great King, King of Persia, King of Anshan, King of Media, King of Babylon, King of Sumer and Akkad, and King of the Four Corners of the World.

He wrote more than 180 books and became famous for his easy-to-read style of historical storytelling, stripped of the dry dustiness which characterized other texts.

It's a happy, happy find and well worth the investment. Very cool book.. It is rare that they relate to a character as quickly as they did with Spark.
Spark goes to school much like my kids did, very scared. I wasn't even that excited by the story, but the artwork really captured my attention at such an early age.

The whole of the book appears to be on archive.org if you want to try before you buy, but do get it on paper, the book has a wonderful feel of its own - a cross between a quality Chinese cultural publication of the 70's and a cheap mono xerox. There is a book called It's the Littl
