The exercises are fantastic (and for me, something that as become very important as of late).. I think this is an extraordinarily interesting and very well-researched book. Discussion varies, sometimes highlighting distinctive parts of an organism's life cyle, special relationships, or the scientists who've done most to uncover and spread this wonderful knowledge.

It's the section on animals that young readers will be most drawn to. In his true crime book SILENT RAGE, author Michael Newton presents Carroll Edward "Eddie" Cole, a serial sex killer and accomplished alcoholic out of Richmond, CA. Though he lacks Bryson's swift narrative and comical anecdotes, what we gain from Kaufman is an update from Walden Pond that we might be surprised to read. The twists and turns are very well done.You start to feel for the various characters and they stay with you. It reads like a fan magazine and its sole purpose was to make money, not to provide an insightful biography of Ellen DeGene
