In opening The Classic Treasury of Princess Fairy Tales one will find refuge in a quiet, sun-dappled forest where magic still can and does happen. Featuring eight of the best loved princess heroines of all time, from Cinderella to Sleeping Beauty, little girls will revel in the fantasy world the beautifully rich artwork creates and long for the stories to never end.
Margaret Clark retold other fairy tales in the Courage edition of The Classic Treasury of Hans Christian Andersen. She spent a lifetime in publishing as an author, editor of children’s books and later as a mentor to aspiring authors. Clark lives in London.
Ms. Leeson's reminiscences are supplemented with casual factual information about glacial and nonglacial geology, the science of meandering water, the differences between freestone rivers and spring creeks, the known history of fly-fishing, the Amish methods of sustainable agriculture, and concerns about private ownership of waterways. I find it fascinating, well written, full of information and if you're at all interested in Birth, Babies, Motherhood or Women-this book is worth a read.. The author points out that the soils will still be deficient and acidic even with adequate applications of phosphorus and nitrogen, which I was already doing, and things still weren't right with my lawn which was being invaded by crab grass, which was much less aggressive on my lawn back in California. Or I should say, I didn't know about these things until I got this book, so I can definitely attest that the Dictionary ably fulfills one of its avowed goals of serving as a primer for curious music fans
