GEORGE A. BRAY is a former Executive Director (1989-1999) and current Boyd Professor at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as well as Professor of Medicine at the LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Bray received his A.B. in Chemistry from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts. He has served with NIH, the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, and WHO. His research interests include dietary, nutritional, and pharmacological treatment of diabetes and obesity.

CLAUDE BOUCHARD is the Executive Director of the Pennington Biomedical Research Center and holds the George A. Bray Chair in Nutrition. He holds a B.Ped. (Laval), a M.Sc. in exercise physiology (University of Oregon, Eugene), and a Ph.D. in population genetics (University of Texas, Austin). His research deals with the genetics of adaptation to exercise and to nutritional interventions as wel

While none of the stories was written on my “Mother Tongue”, each was “A Good Read”. Amazon should delete the votes of the Venezuelan idiot who posted nada, repeadedly; it helps no one. The book is filled with great advice and clever ideas. His father was killed in 1914 but strongly prompted by his mother he nonetheless entered the army too. Mi español no es muy bueno pero no tengo una problema. It reads smoothly as a novel, with plots and subplots ever revealing aspects of the man at the centre of the story.

Running through the text includes a ` "story" within the story' of how the Institutes were conceived and edited at various stages, and ultimately settled upon in a final form. There are lessons here that go beyond the history.. When I decided to get back in to amateur radio this year, the Handbook was one of my first purchases. Some oldies and goodies and some you may never have heard of. I should know because I'm a member.
