It is a good book and a perfect comfort book for cuddling up with on a rainy afternoon; it's just not a great one.. Sound just a touch like Francess Hodgson Burnett's well-known, "The Secret Garden" doesn't it? Though incorporating various plot points and characters similar to that of Burnett's book, the book is incredibly different. It is much more ambitions than Motorcycle Owner's Manual by Hugo Wilson, for example, and for real enthusiasts,well worth the effort.. But, I regularly read Kris's blog (as should anyone who writes for a living or wants to) and when she alerted her readers that Wickedly Charming was temporarily available for free download, I grabbed it.
